Technetra introduced OSS at a seminar organized by DCE’s Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
As co-organizer of LinuxAsia in New Delhi, things at Technetra could not be more hectic but its founders still managed to present on topics they are deeply interested in.
Technetra participated in a panel discussion on the danger of software patents and the negative impact of such patents on software innovation.
Technetra presented on “Open Source: Proprietary Philanthropy”, an overview of the nature of Linux and Open Source Software at the annual conference of the Computer Society of India (CSI).
Technetra presented on Linux based accessibility tools such as Emacspeak and other speech recognition open source software which could be used by vision-impaired individuals in India for education and on-the-job.
This seminar was part of PHDCCI’s initiative to create Linux awareness in the Indian business community where a group of experts including Technetra presented on the various facets of OSS and Linux.
